I went to Shirehampton primary school in 1953, I still have the glass mug I recieved for the queens coronation.
I live in Canada with my husband and 2 children , I have fond memories of this school.

I had an amazing last day at shire school my mates and I had a limo after school and it was really cool had a great time. So I am really excited to go on year six camp and it is so cheap! I am defiinitely going, never would I miss school camp! Thankyou to everyone who continues to visit our website to browse and sometimes leave comments. We are currently updating the site for terms five and six so you will be able to see some of the exciting things that are going on in our school! Year two finished their SATs recently and have made us proud - so "very well done to you all!" This week, year six are taking their SATs and we wish them all the best. They have all worked really hard in preparation so they deserve to do well! Next week, years three to five will be sitting their "optional SATs". These will help to prepare the children for when they are in year six themselves, so good luck to them too!!

Hello Shirehampton Primary school. I will be moving from Avonmouth to Shirehampton and the school. This is a goodbye note to all the children and staff at Shirehampton Primary. I have enjoyed every minute of being a supply teacher at your fabulous school. All the teachers are extremely dedicated to the school and it certainly shows in the quality of work that is produced and what excellent choices the children make at school.

Mr Palmer came into school for two days to meet with year two and three teachers last week. They met to discuss how we can make the transition from Key Stage One to Key Stage Two much more smoother for pupils in our school and ensure the high standards the children were achieving continue into the next academic year. It was great to see Mr Palmer again and we are all looking forward to working with him from September!

I have been to this school for 7 yrs and nearly 8 I think it is brill.

I had a super day in school today. Thank you for all those cheery smiles and hellos said to me, I had so many. Thank you to 4P for the card they sent welcoming me back, and thanks to Miss Phipps for letting me have 15 minutes to chat with them at the end of the day. It reminded me of how much I miss everyone. I'm looking forward to teaching once again at Shirehampton, because it is such a happy school.

I like this school because I don't get bullied anymore and there is an anti-bulliing policy. If anyone bullies anyone then they will be told off by the headteacher and Mrs Webb. A wonderful site. I attended the school in the early fifties. Mr Tandy was principal for part of the time I was there. Mr Hall was the Year 4 teacher and Miss Emms was in the Infants Dept. Now I am involved in primary education in Australia. Good luck for the future of the school.
